Good grief I cannot wait for this to be over, and I do not believe that much is going to change no matter which one wins.
The biggest mistake Todd Kaufman and his lawyers have made so far in their lawsuit against the county for wrongful termination is not asking for a change in venue. They will be screwed by the same court who has stuck by the local GOBGN each and every time. Yep, the same court that appoints Kaufman’s nemeses on the Board of Equalization will be hearing his case.
Loudoun’s outside lawyers, including the obnoxious Julia Judkins, who recently represented the School Board, want to quash Kaufman’s lawyers subpoenas for emails related to Kaufman. I’m sure they will prevail. If not there, then surely at the conclusion. Poor Todd, first he gets royally screwed by the scheming Supervisors and staff, and now he’s wasting all of this lawyer money. This will not be a fair fight.
Writing this from Tampa, Florida. It has ben a great convention so far and there’s still a couple nights to go. I sat down with Steve Friess from Politico and talked social media and the 2012 race…..this blog is mentioned in the last question.
After attending my share of conventions in Virginia, this looks all too familiar.
Big Gipper and Real Loudoun take notice of the special guest list for Dick Black’s upcoming very Christian barbecue. Yes, certain religious minorities aren’t represented, but you can certainly expect a Muslim when Dick Black himself is one of the biggest recipients of Safa Group money. He just has so much in common with those “Mohammed types”, his words, not mine.
Is Eugene down there, or is he missing out on the Tampa gay pirate action???
If you may recall, our great Christian warrior Eugene Delgaudio made news at here at TC, on other blogs, and in the Washington Post last year when railing against the evil gay pirates of Tampa’s Gasparilla Pirate Festival. Interestingly enough, the original Inquisition News web page reporting this has vanished for some reason (RNC operatives at work???). But we still have great quotes from Eugene’s urgent message, including:
“The event is a full two weeks of seemingly family oriented events, with parades and treasure hunts around the city. But in recent years Radical Homosexuals have been intent on turning it into a two week alcohol fueled display of public debauchery. Organizers started by purposefully making the parade route zig-zag so no one could call it a “straight parade.” Word is that Radical Homosexuals have infiltrated as event organizers to promote homosexual events that are designed to prey upon unsuspecting college students by enticing them to join their “krewes” and help build parade floats in exchange for free alcohol. When the young men are sufficiently intoxicated, homosexuals dressed as pirates whisk them away to God knows where to take advantage of them sexually. There are even countless stories of any number of immoral sex act being performed by open homosexuals – some even in broad daylight during the event.”
Shiver me timbers, indeed!!! So, pray tell, what are the chances that the year after noted anti-gay warrior Eugene Delgaudio rails against the Tampa pirate fest, the Republican National Committee decides to have its convention in Tampa??? Did the thought of gay pirates titillate them so???
UPDATE: Found this absolutely hilarious account of Delgaudio’s depiction of Gasparilla, with this absolutely hilarious photo, with the caption “Mr. Delgaudio practices pirate skills”!!!
It’s Sunday night and all I have to look forward to on HBO is the ever more ridiculous and just about unwatchable True Blood. I miss having a high quality show like Big Love, which also had a very familiar character in Roman Grant, also known as “The Prophet”. He really gave me lots of insight into how characters like Todd Akin and Dick Black operate.
Which one is scarier???
As a kid, and now as an aging adult, I have never considered anyone a greater American hero than Neil Armstrong. His courage was matched only by his humility.
“For those who may ask what they can do to honor Neil, we have a simple request. Honor his example of service, accomplishment and modesty, and the next time you walk outside on a clear night and see the moon smiling down at you, think of Neil Armstrong and give him a wink.” — Armstrong’s family, announcing his death in a written statement.
I couldn’t believe it when, as I stood in line at Harris Teeter, I saw this week’s cover of Newsweek which reads, “Hit the Road, Barack – Why We Need a New President.” Now, regardless of the author or the content of the article, the simple fact that such a statement appears on the cover of a notoriously liberal publication truly reflects just how poor a leader this man is.
Part two of “Why Is This News?” is even worse than the post below. The forever delayed and obnoxiously still self promoting Loudoun Hounds will be showing baseball movies to HOAs. Wow. And it gets a story in the quickly declining Leesburg Today, which ran the last worthless non-story. The race to the bottom of the local press continues. Very sad.
