Marsden Getting Desperate

By Too Conservative

Sends out e-mail trying to tie Jason Flanary to Rick Perry and Michele Bachmann.

  • Dan says:

This is desperate? How so? Pretty garden variety stuff really.

The brand of kookiness displayed by Perry and Bachmann isn’t something that will sell particularly well in the 37th and they are getting plenty of press lately. Attempting to portray Flanary as just another of those nutty Republicans isn’t particularly surprising. After all, the 37th isn’t exactly teabagger central.

If I had a dollar for every time I’ve read in the last few years that this one on the left or that one on the right is “desperate” or “terrified” of this or that event or candidate I’d have enough dough to retire and live on the beach. You might say that the comparison is inaccurate or inapt. But desperate? Please. That’s nonsense.

Flanary could win the election, but an objective read would be that Marsden is the favorite to be re-elected. Hard to see any reason he would be “desperate” about his chances to return to Richmond.

Also, I would think that you would view Perry and Bachmann as exemplary public servants who are fully qualified to occupy the Oval Office. Shouldn’t you view Flanary being associated with them as a plus? Shouldn’t you be positively thrilled to have the voters in the 37th make that association?

It’s not like Flanary is being associated with a criminal like Rick Scott or something. That would be an unfair and perhaps desperate tactic. Flanary is an honest man.

I was push-polled by this clown a few days ago. We’re in PWC, and at least a district or two removed from Marsden’s.

  • Newbie says:

Does he live in his District yet? Just wondering. There seems to be a lot of over looking residency rules in VA. David Ramadan comes to mind.

  • I seriously doubt it was a “push poll,” as few people do such a thing and voting hasn’t even started. It was more likely a poll establishing which attacks work best.

Did they ask you your party affiliation, likelihood to vote and other questions?

  • BlackOut says:

Newbie, Ron Speakman definitely comes to mind!

  • NotJohnSMosby says:

Does Dick Black live in the 13th yet?
