Why In The Hell Does Howie Lind Need Security???
By Loudoun Insider
Someone just pointed me to this recent revised filing by Howie Lind’s 10th Republican Congressional District Committee, where Howie was apparently so threatened that he had to hire LCRC tough guy Greg Stone for $100 to provide security on December 15. 2011 (entry on page 9 of 10). Was this the date of that meeting where Stone was announced as security at a meeting because they were so scared of Jo-Ann Chase??? Is Howie really that scared of a little woman??? Your committee dollars at work, contributors. Please, someone give us the official explanation of the need for “security”. Good grief, what elitist bullshit.

Can I give Greg a hundred bucks to play barroom bouncer at my next cookout? That would be immensely entertaining! Does he wear tight jeans and a black t-shirt (tucked in, of course) and all?
I still cannot believe that a Congressional District party chairman needs security! Imagine the howls if Jim Rich had spent money on this.
Will John Whitbeck continue this tradition along with the gas tank fill ups since he has promised to continue the Howie legacy?
Dying for an answer.
If someone is holding a public meeting there are good reasons to hire security. It’s not a bad deal to be able to do it for $100.
LCRC meetings are public, and there’s no security. LCDC meetings are public, and there’s no security (I’m guessing).
Look the only reason to have security at an event is IF Greg Stone IS there. He’s not a calming influence. This smells like another political favor and had nothing to do with protection.
And Stone would have been there regardless of the cash payment.
…besides I thought the current crop of GOPs were against prophylactic efforts.
“LCDC meetings are public, and there’s no security (I’m guessing).”
The LCDC doesn’t even have a Sergeant-at-Arms, let alone a big-guy-for-hire at the door. And Republicans have attended recently, occasionally even out in the open.
So who was the big threat that they needed protection from??? Can we see the threat assessment?
$100 Stone works cheap, but frankly I’m surprised he didn’t volunteer to pay $100 for the privilege of being designated tough dude.
My only question- did he bring Tubbs with him?
Being able to own a Stone is a Constitutional right.
Just think, if you attend that John Whitbeck Happy Hour Fundraiser and give him the recommended $100 donation, you could pay for the much needed security services for that night.
