The Other Primary
By Loudoun Insider
I voted for E.W. Jackson today towards the end. Pretty dead at the polls. Of course George Allen will win, it’s just a matter of how big the margin is. I have no clue, and I really don’t care all that much. Allen is more of the same ole, same ole. The order of the bottom three will be interesting. Jackson needs to stay involved – that man has a future in Virginia politics, I hope.

I also voted forJackson, partly out of protest, and partly because he is a refreshingly charismatic voice for change . Hopefully he has enough support in Chesapeake and the tidewater area to launch a credible run for a house seat in 2014.
Hillsboro precinct was dead, with the vote count in the mid 60′s by about 5:45
Voter turnout in LoCo was 3.5%. Amazing.
I guess the Republicans™ were so busy killing Republicans that they forgot to GOTV?
I voted for E.W. too, and Hillsboro, I agree with you: I’d love to see him in the state legislature or Congress soon.
Didn’t vote, not excited about any of them and very turned off by several.
I like EW Jackson, Had a chance to talk to him on a couple of times. Intersting man with a cool painted ax. You gotta like that.
I really liked Jackson especially after his convention speech. Intense guy and certainly a presence. Great family too. I lost interest when he went all sour with his enthusiasm to fight gays and other social issues. Not my type of republican. With that said, I hope he finds a place to stay involved.
I’m a little surprised that E.W. Jackson, a great speaker with a really neat prop earned your vote over a candidate like Jaime Radtke who has been working grass roots for over a year. Where you only put off by three years of a biased media attack on anything “Tea Party”?
We got what the machine gave us and apathy wins out the day. I just hope that Jackson isn’t a quitter (as I feel he isn’t) because there is another seat with Warner that needs replacing.
I voted for Allen simply because I can’t stand Marshall and didn’t know a thing about the other two. I would have preferred better choices; I am sick of holding my nose while hitting the vote button.
BTW: I hope they have picked up all their road spam!
IV, Marshall got stomped, thankfully. Shows how interested the voters are to personhood and ultrasounds.
