Yep, Dick Black Is Still A Dick

By Loudoun Insider

And a wimpy one at that.  Of course our State Senator (isn’t that ridiculous???) would oppose the confirmation of an evil abomination of a gay man to be a Virginia judge, but he couldn’t even stick to his guns and vote no:

Sen. Richard H. Black (R-Loudoun) initially voted no. The vote was reconsidered moments later, with Norment restating that opponents should leave the chamber. That time, Black left.

Just for you, “Senator”:

I still think that the role of Jeff Spicoli was Sean Penn’s finest acting of his entire career. Thanks for the clip.

I concur in your opinion of Black too. What a dick. I’m glad this appointment was revisited and that this very qualified man will take his place on the bench. I get it that Black is a bigot. I don’t expect his personal animosity toward homosexuals to change. But to display it as the representative of his constituents is an altogether different matter. His constituents need to get themselves better representation at the next election.

  • Richmonder at Heart says:

LI: You never fail to show a level of acidulous vocabulary that sets the bar for others. Regardless of whether you agree with Sen. Black, he is a decent man, a decorated veteran and a member of the Senate of Virginia. His position deserves respect.

  • BlackOut says:

Here is how the situation went down with the aged and challenged Mr. Black.

He’s sitting in the chamber with all his conservative buddies. He is oblivious that the 20 of them have left the room. All leaving on cue as pre-arranged by their little cabal.

Dick continues daydreaming or dozes off, probably with images of sugar plums and plastic fetuses dancing in his head.

Dick is startled to attention when hearing “THORNE”, immediately the gaydar goes off and he jumps up and yells out like a Pavlovian dog, “NO!”. Silence falls in the chamber.

Dick looks around and sees he’s by himself and those remaining in the room are staring at him.

Majority Leader Norment turns red and can’t hide his irritation. Grits his teeth and says, “Now Dick go out in the hall like we told you, your pals are waiting for you”. Then Black gets up and leaves which then allowed Norment to commence a “do over”.

  • LocoConservative says:

I sure am glad that this post won’t be seen by anyone who actually makes a difference.

  • Ravi Oli says:

Mr. Loco, Ravi is not surprised to hear that you do not actually make a difference. Can we agree that Mr. Black is a real Dick?

  • Loudoun Insider says:

I don’t have much to say about this ridiculous political crap these days, but when I read something this ridiculous it deserves some commentary, and I could care less what you party hacks think of it.

  • Loudoun Insider says:

And as far as giving him some respect, I’d have more respect for him if he stood his ground and voted no, instead he caved. What do you great Christian conservatives think of that???

  • Baron Rosedown says:

On a serious note, I think Dick Black is having memory problems. He seems to forget what/who/why he is doing, especially in large group settings. A couple of months ago I was at (large 400+ people) function. I reintroduced myself to him (we’ve met 3 times previous timesz0 , we proceeded to have a chat and literally 10 minutes later Dick Black came back the table & reintroduce himself. Most of us looked at each other wild-eyed with confusion. It was literally ” WTF just happened” moment. Odd to say the least, but then one of the guest at the table explained that had nearly an identical encounter with Dick Black this past summer.

  • BlackOut says:

BR, that is a reoccurring problem. I heard a very similar story from a very close friend of mine. And someone who voted for Black.

My earlier post was tongue and cheek, but frankly I wouldn’t be surprised if that really did happen.

He was having these issues during his election. Big reason why his family and handlers controlled his access and exposure. Very few public appearances, mostly controlled friendly crowds.

  • notjohnsmosby says:

If you were a 12-year old boy, I’m sure that “Dick” Black would definitely remember you.

  • BlackOut says:

    I find NJM’s comment offensive.

With all of Dick’s faults and shortcomings, pedophilia as inferred by this comment is not one of them. Homophobic yes. There is not a relationship between these two inflictions.

  • Allforvotereducatin says:

I’d love to see Dick Black in a real debate again

  • Independent Voter says:

BO, I agree. Dick is not a pedophile. He is homophobic, misogynistic, and more than a little nutty. But it is wrong to imply he is a pedophile.

  • LocoConservative says:

I think I was just called a party hack. What party do you think I’m hacking for? Since I do not have much use for a republican and no use whatsoever for a democrat, I don’t follow your reasoning.
Dick Black is a constant conservative, and there is no finger-wetting to see which way the wind blows with him.
As for the sickos who comment about his mental sharpness, he’s fine. I hope these same people get Parkinson’s so they’ll recognise the symptoms when they get them. Their minds will still be sharp, but their motor functions may be left wanting.

  • BlackOut says:

Loco, if what ever Dick has causes himself to introduce himself multiple times to the same person with the same conversation, I don’t think that is Parkinsons, nor do I think it reflects “mental sharpness”.

We only get one Senator to represent us. If he’s not able to mentally handle the job he should consider the impact he is having on the district.

The good news is he is unable to initiate any serious initiatives concerning his homophobia, his assaults on woman, or his other extreme views. So in that way, his “condition” is a benefit to us all.

Personally I wish him well and hope his family is realistic with him. My issue is what he does as an elected official. There is nothing about him that represents my interests, he will continue to feel the heat. So I hope he gets adequate medical care and his family protects him. As for his public life, fair game. He’s either up to it or he’s not.

  • Elder Berry says:

Whether or not today Dick Black is senile or suffering from Parkison’s or just out to lunch, his past behavior and positions are still far outside the mainstream and he is a shame to his office. Just like Eugene.

  • Wolverine says:

And then there is Joe Biden, who seems not to remember from time to time whether he is POTUS or VEEP.

  • Wolverine says:

BlackOut — Are you a medical doctor or do you just play one on the blogs?

  • BlackOut says:

Wolverine, nope not a medical doctor. Just a constituent.

  • BlackOut says:

This has really been bugging me.

“A bill filed by Delegate Tag Greason, R-Lansdowne, would add the correspondence and working papers of taxpayer-supported legislative aides to the list of items the state can lawfully deny the public.”

What is TAG thinking? Interesting that this bill would effect FOIA requests to the Mateer documents. Or would it? Documents that could help clear Delgaudio’s name. Assuming he’s not dirty as thought.

Regardless, the last thing the current GOP needs to be doing is shutting down the flow in information. Bad move unless someone can enlighten me on a valid reason for this initiative.
