They are now posted at the Loudoun Electoral Board website (direct link here). I haven’t had time to go through all of it and probably won’t get around to them all – feel free to look at the ones that interest you and post up your findings in comments. They all appear to be posted except for Ken Mikeman’s. I was interested to see what he was going to do about his 20k debt to GAM Printers. Jack Ryan still owes $9,500 to GAM as well. I looked briefly at Snow’s and saw he put out over 200k in this campaign. That’s an awful lot to get creamed by 18%!
Firetti of course has the most interesting one – with debts remaining unpaid of over 65k. His only direct contributions were 19k from Affordable Shelter PAC (Northern Virginia Building Alliance), who gave him 29k overall. Roherty and Fineline ended up “loaning” him over 75k, with over 50k remaining unpaid. Firetti of course paid himself back fully, leaving Roherty and his campaign manager still unpaid. It looks like Bob Maistros got tired of providing free “high impact” messaging and is owed $4,812 from the Firetti campaign, which as of the date of the filing report is over 5k in the red. Firetti shows total expenditures of over 400k! Where’s the rest of the money coming from to pay back everyone else?

There are quite a few watching to see if and how Firetti and others pays thier debts.
There you go again, as Ronnald Reagan would say. The election is over, our guys got whacked, and you just can’t get enough blood, LIAR. Why don’t you go after all the Dems and Libs who got PEC/VLF backing? Isn’t that worth your venom, LIAR? When are you gonna quit, butthead?
Shut up BDf! It’s interesting, and provides closure to the cycle.
Just curious: is it FEC regulation that candidates report when/how they pay their debts?
Will the knowledge of knowing where the money came from change the result of Firetti’s election? From what I can see, had Firetti been more agressive in raising money early on, he probably would have been better equipped to challenge York. Having said that, his campaign still gave York a run for the money.
Ric, FEC, yes absolutely. But this is local, so who knows? A general rule in campaign fundraising reporting, though, is reports continue until all the money is used or all the debt is forgiven.
RWN, Firetti never had a chance. He was well-equipped for exactly nothing. “His” money was straight down the drain.
York barely ran, compared to what he could have done if necessary.
York’s victory could have been a Republican victory, remember, and remember who to blame that it wasn’t (clue, not Scott, initials DPM, BT, SS, MS, RM, SV, etc.).
Mr. Berry,. we agreee ….again (hey…I like to point out these moments when they occur!)York ran hard, but he was also wearing the yokes of the independent and democratic candidates as well. I do not mean that to be derogatory. I think York took a good hard look at his ability and his popularity in the county….. and then hitched the team onto his belt and marched right up that hill, because he knew it was the right thing to do for the voters.
Black/Delgaudio fan … I want you to shut that pie hole until you can PROVE that I’ve lied in any way. I find it most interesting that the very people launching that particular insult are guilty of it and a plethora of other less than glamorous behavioral dysfunctions.
Dems,Libs AND Republicans got VLF backing. After all, the PAC WAS BIPARTISAN. And as an issues-based PAC, if Delgottago had bothered to answer their questionnaire like everybody who got an endorsement, ED could have gotten endorsed, too…if he gave back all the dirty money and that money that didn’t even come from Loudoun, as well as renounced his build-it-all-over mentality.
Now, I distinctly remember telling gobs of people that your boys were toast….and getting lots of replies that indicated I was crazy for thinking that. Let’s clear the air on that FINAL note….
TOLD YOU SO!!!!!
