MikeHuckabee.com - I Like Mike!

I am in the glorious state of South Carolina and will remain here through the Primary on Saturday.

The Governor’s campaign office is on Main Street close to the Capitol in downtown Columbia. It’s great to be in the warm weather!

Unlike New Hampshire there aren’t signs on every street corner and in fact I have yet to see a sign for any candidate but I haven’t traveled but into Columbia.

Depending on the poll Gov. Huckabee or Senator McCain lead in the state.

More updates throughout the week.

Thompson will take South Carolina. Write it down.

t has been in Georgia and california doing field work for Huck. t saw Thompson signs in Georgia, and Rudy signs in California, but Huck will win both.

Thompson will drop out of the race 24 hours after South Carolina.

So, what’s the biggest appeal with “the Huckster”? The fact that he comes across as “the everyman” as opposed to a “corporate panderer” or that Evangelicals think that he’ll push their “Christian” (note the quotes) agenda?

  4. Big Dog

    Mike Huckabee on his unabashed
    conservatism: “Always drink upstream
    from the herd.”

  5. Dorothy

Huckabee would be a good replacement for Jay Leno on the Tonight Show.

I like Fred. And I wish more of the delegates did, too. Unfortunately, I see Huck making a stand here. It IS the bible belt and south, after all.

    10 ft,

As I’ve said, SC has changed to more moderate since the retirees (northern types) have settled in. They’ve diluted the bible thumpers, lemonade drinking southern bells, and kick-ass redneck types.

McCain will win in SC. It is immaterial which position Huck will place.

Dorothy, never; when the Huck plays out, he will go back to obscurity–maybe playing in the Comedy Store, because he is a big joke.

If anyone needed furthur proof that these evangelicals are NOT conservatives, this would be it. There is NOTHING conservative about Huckabee. He is a pro-life democrat. The evangelicals will be the ruin of the Republican party.

  9. We’ll see, 10 feet, I think Fred’s making a pretty strong showing here.

  10. Mark Kay

The Evangelicals are already the ruin of America. Most of what they stand for, Theocracy and selection of who’s allowed “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”, is un American. Time to show these people the door.

Fred doing better means Huck is doing worse

but when Romney beats McCain in Michigan…

this is so exciting for a political junky :-p

Fred is a southern boy. Tennessee thru and thru. That appeals to the good ‘ol boys down there.
What should really be interesting is testing Hillary’s report with the black vote. Bill and Hill played that to the hilt in the 90’s.
I think Obama will break some of their allegiances. You really like to see someone with some experience under his belt break out front, though. This kid has two years as a Congressman??

  13. For Thompson

Fred Thompson will win South Carolina. His debate performance was excellent. Huckabee is a liberal who happens to be pro-life.

    Go Fred!!!!

Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Adm. Mike Mullen stated on January 13 that he wants Gitmo shut down as stated in an Associated Press story dated January 14. It states in part…”he favors closing the prison here as soon as possible because he believes negative publicity worldwide about treatment of terrorist suspects has been “pretty damaging” to the image of the United States.”….and even though he is the top military officer…”He stressed that a closure decision was not his to make”…because it is in the hands of the President.

I saw the article on http://www.military.com as I have interest in this as one of my sons is in the Army National Guard as a Military Policeman and another son looks to be joining the United States Marines any day.

Mike Huckabee is on target in his position; unfortunately, he is receiving flak on it.

What the hell is a ‘Certified Fraud Examiner’? Is this satire–am I missing something?

  16. What I want to know is why more people aren’t talking and blogging about this great speech to the Detroit Economic Club:

Conservatives should be standing and cheering together for Gov Huckabee, our next communicator-in-chief.

Hucklebee would be a disaster as a candidate and probably worse as President. The last thing we need is another Arkansas Gov in the WH.

Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Adm. Mike Mullen ?? As in …still at his post? The first thing we need to do is replace this turd. It is an unwritten rule – you do not voice disagreement with your superiors in public. We’ve operated that way thru 80 years of media coverage, and if he thinks that it doesn’t apply to him, then it’s time to put him in the street. He obviosly does not understand the presentation of a unified front in time of crisis. He is providing our enemies with comfort in a time when we cannot afford that slip.
