Scoops from the 10th District

By Too Conservative

10th District Chairman Jim Rich who was viciously opposed by Heidi Stirrup a couple years ago will be unopposed at the upcoming 10th District Convention.

This is GREAT for party unity.

Some news out of Manassas convention were Way, Smith and Wolfe won the convention.

Vince.. we can all hope. But that’s so uncharacteristic of that bunch. I say we’re not out of the woods until April.

  • Ric James says:

    Is April the filing deadline?

  • 10 feet tall and Bulletproof says:

It’s statistically the latest anyone could announce and have the time to get traction and attempt to gather delegates.

Also, with a 60% vote for Rich two years ago, why would anyone bother? With the sting that was delivered in November to the largest delegational representation of the 10th District Convention, it’s highly unlikely that any real competition would evolve against Rich that would pass the “sniff” test for Loudoun’s large contingent. The March Mass Meeting is going to be a clear indication of the direction of Loudoun’s delegates.

  • Loudoun Watcher says:

The filing deadline for running for Chair of the 10th District, among other positions up for election, was January 25th. So no one can file for the district, or for State Central, or for delegate/alternate delegate to the national convention, or for elector.

  • Former LCRC Member says:

    Huh. How’d that happen?
