If there really is something on Mark Warner (which you have implied or explicitly stated exists here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here, at least)…

Its a sad day, the Republicans essentially did not even field a candidate for this race. Gilmore never even got off the ground.
For whatever reason, they’re not even releasing the info of what I *know* they have proof of in their own hands let alone the A-bomb. Of course, as bad as it is, it might only take him down 25 pts. and that still wouldn’t do it for Gilmore.
Riley, I know what they have in their hands, and they don’t dare release it because the Warner people have the same dirt on Gilmore.

In the good old days of the Cold War, this was described as Mutually Assured Destruction. Riley shouldn’t keep hinting at this if he isn’t prepared to say what it is. His realism in acknowledging that even a 25 point drop in Warner’s standing wouldn’t help Gilmore is welcome.
Actually, Anon., what they had on Gilmore is a fraction of what others have on Warner. That said, I’ve wished Sen.-elect Warner well and asked that he just curtail such behavior in the future so as not to embarass our commonwealth.
