Three Weeks Later

By VA Blogger

Tomorrow will be three weeks since the Democratic Primaries and I’m still seeing McAuliffe, Moran, Signer, Esam Omeish, John Carroll, and Roy Baldwin signs. I understand the difficulty for the statewide campaigns to get every sign they put up, but especially the local guys should be able to pick up after themselves, even if the only person they can find to help is the candidate himself.

  • That always annoys me. I’m impressed to see that despite the fact that Deeds won and his signs were absolutely everywhere, they are all gone from everywhere they were.

I think it’s especially pathetic for McAuliffe, Mr. Green Jobs, to leave his litter out like he has. Man, I wish he would have won. We’d have buried him.

  • VDOT should pick them up and send a bill to each campiagn. This is ccomplete BS, especially from the enviro-wacko endorsed McAuliffe. Or was he just spouting off about that stuff to get their endorsements? Naaaahhhh, someone as upstanding as Terry Frigging McAuliffe wouldn’t do that, would he?

  • VA Blogger says:

Seriously though, Omeish or Carroll by himself could clean up the rest of their signs in an hour, two tops.

  • RichmondDem says:

McAuliffe put up too damn many signs to begin with! I guess he had to spend all that money on something.

  • Ron says:

Yet another example of you Democrats talk about a “clean environment” and leave it to someone else to clean up the mess.

  • Dan says:

Well you guys were pretty efficient at taking our obama signs down DURING the campaign, why not use those same skills to help us clean up now that those campaigns that lost don’t have the manpower 😛

  • You know, that would probably be a good idea and damn good PR!

  • edmundburkenator says:

LI nails it. Republicans cleaning up Ds mess? That is PR gold.

  • 200 Grande says:

I can’t see the signs because of the grass.

  • Alter of Freedom says:

It takes a few weeks to recover from depression folks…..

  • VA Blogger says:

Wouldn’t driving around and seeing the remnants of your failed campaign only add to the depression?

  • Alter of Freedom says:

Oh come on, we all know the walk around with blinders on…..

I don’t know about how supporters feel, but I have to admit as an opponent, I get glee out of seeing a car plastered with KILGORE/ALLEN/MCCAIN-PALIN bumperstickers. Sounds mean, but I know you probably feel the same way about ones with KERRY/EDWARDS stickers! 😛

  • Alter of Freedom says:

Yeah that maybe true, but what I find it rather ironic is the lack of the Obama stickers still on cars. You used to see those alot last year, but apparently many folks have removed them at least in the burbs. Not saying that that says much, but it is rather weird. Usually those stickers stick around for the victor alot longer.

  • VA Blogger says:

AOF, I don’t know where you are, but I see Obama stickers everywhere.
