These numbers are pretty impressive at this point in the race. And I have to say I’m still astounded at Cuccinelli’s success to this point. I did not expect Shannon to be such a complete non-candidate. Ken is mopping the floor with him.
Brian, I, too, am surprised at KC’s numbers. Let’s give a shout out to his campaign manager, Chris LaCivita.
I’ll have more on this and the PPP poll tonight.
Looks like you guys can hit cruise control ’til November. Oh. Well.
Good news, but let’s keep our nose to the grindstone, run like we are 10 pts behind.
KC’s numbers have been consistently impressive, and I am not surprised.
Looking forward to your take on things, VAB.
Impressive numbers from impressive candidates. Ken has locked up some pretty strong endorsements in the last week. Like Loudoun Lady says though we need to keep working hard all the way to November! Then, and only then, can we celebrate!
Yeah, don’t worry about the other four polls released in the last week that show it more like a 4-point lead.
Did anyone take a look at the sample sizes? For the Governor’s poll, only 25% from Northern Virginia (population is more like 1/3) and 32% Democratic (actual is more like 40%). There are some serious issues in the splits.
Alfred, you hit the nail on the head. SurveyUSA throws a lot of whoppers out there and the last one was skewed, too. I haven’t figured out what their angle is in sampling that way…unless they are just careless or, equally as bad, they are woefully inept. Some pollsters are like that, unfortunately. Perhaps the only advantage is that it keeps everyone on their toes on either side in a statewide due to the limited amount of polls.
Republicans: keep at it every day. And as soon as we whip butt in Nov., those of us in the 5th CD will need your help ousting Dem Cong injit Tommy Perriello from office. Perriello has those AlGore groups campaigning for him already.
*******
totally unrelated. did you see where DNC chmn Kaine (remember? he was once Gov of Va) said he hadn’t heard anything at all about the Gov Paterson/Obama scuffle.
I heard on the radio that PPP has the gubernatorial race at McDonnell by 5.
PPP acknowledges that Survey USA was more accurate than they were last year.
I don’t trust the Survey USA poll – they use a skewed data sample – Other surveys put McDonnell up by 5 – 8% points… I think those are more accurate numbers/polls.
The truth is probably somewhere in the middle. One poll has McDonnell up by 5, another up by 14. So, its possible that he’s up between 8 and 10 points. Regardless, it’s nice to see that he’s out in front. Hope it stays that way in November!
The story of the week , ignored by even some in our party was the cadre of LE endorsements Ken complied. Every LE organization in the Commonwealth is on the KC express. Law and order types to include ALL of the Gun Rights Groups are rallying behind Ken. NRA,GOA and VCDL are all working very hard for this ticket.
Way to Go KEN ! KC4AGKC4AG
77 Law Enforcement Officials and Commonwealth Attorneys across the state endorsed Ken, plus the FOP Endorsement for the entire ticket. This is huge, Shannon got about 35 endorsements.
