  • Conservatives are taking back the party…finally.

  • Cato the Elder says:

Very bad news for one Charlie Crist..

  • Kevin says:

That is great news. Ihope the GOP committees openly support Hoffman now.

  • Ryan says:

My day just became sunny… even though it’s raining outside!

    This is great news!

  • kelley in virginia says:

Ok, I think this is great news. ANd we will have a Republican sweep in Virginia. Christie has done well in NJ (& could win there). and the response from Congress?

    let’s pass socialized healthcare.

There is article in newspaper this a.m. that quotes Congressidjit Perriello saying he really wants to vote “yes” on the bill, but wants to make sure it doesn’t allow for fed funding of abortions (it does) & that it doesn’t raise the deficit (it does). so he will end up voting for it. and this guy saw more Townhall action than any other Congressman—he should know we dont want it all!

these people in Congress don’t care one whit about what is going on anywhere but their little offices in Congress.

  • Ryan says:

“Sheer Stupidity”… That’s only way to describe representatives who vote for this bill.

  • Brian S says:

Hopefully Scozzafava’s voters all go over to vote for Hoffman. As I’ve said before, my biggest concern is keeping the seat.

  • Dan (Not the liberal one) says:

I’m at Hoffman’s HQ in Plattsburgh right now. The mood here is great, get ready for a big win folks!

  • NovaConservative says:

All this stuff about how this might effect guys like Frank Wolf is nonsense. This was a very unique situation–the Republican candidate was far outside the mainstream, and there exists a well known ballot line for a third party in Virginia. Frank Wolf IS a mainstream Republican, and in his most recent challenge, defeated a candidate in a primary–in other words, the people were allowed to vote. Unlike in New York. Sure, some conservatives might snipe on occassion at Wolf for this or that, but when it came time to vote–what happened? Not even a contest.

Had their been a primary in NY-23, there is no way that Scozzafava would have won. Zero chance.

  • NovaConservative says:

Sorry–I meant a ballot line in NY.

  • Cato the Elder says:

Like I said in another thread, the Conservative Party thing is unique to NY.

Ain’t gonna happen to Wolf. People love him in the 10th, he’s got the job as long as he wants it.

  • Cato the Elder says:

So um.. where’s that “Prediction NY-23 goes to the Dems” thread? Can you guys sticky it so we can point and laugh on Wed. AM please?

  • Brian S says:

Don’t count your chickens, Cato. I pray you’re right, but my gut tells me something else.
