Tim Bucholz really sounds despondent in this last minute appeal to his faithful party brethren.  Read and enjoy below the break.
November 1, 2009
Greetings!

Tuesday’s election will have longer, lasting impact than last year’s historic election.

Obama’s second term could be completely over-ridden by Virginia Congressional Representatives.

Think of extremists, Ken Cuccinelli or Bob Marshall as US Congressmen. It could happen.

How? It is called redistricting. After the 2010 census, the Virginia Legislature and the Governor draw new political boundaries.  If the Republicans continue to control the legislature and take back the Governor’s seat, the boundaries for Virginia’s Congressional districts will be in the hands of the President’s opposition. Boundaries that can determine winners and losers. There is a strong probability that Republican gerrymandering (the deliberate manipulation of political boundaries for electoral advantage) will protect Republican incumbents and create new highly concentrated conservative districts.

We do have a great slate of candidates this year. Do I agree with everything that they have said? Of course not. But I do agree with the greater majority of their positions. That is what happens when you have the diversity of thought, which is the Democratic Party.  We are not lemmings or “Ditto Heads” … that is the other Party. We are a party who independents understand.

We are a Party that believes that government should be small when it comes to regulating our freedoms… freedom to be who you are … Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, Evangelical, Atheist, Gay, Straight … it doesn’t matter to us. We are the party that looks out for those who have not yet realized the American dream and may require help to get there. We provide security for those who have none. We are the party that has a long history of focusing on thing that matter to all Virginians …. jobs, education, transportation, and a healthier world for our children and their children’s children.

But that is all in jeopardy for the long run, with this very important election.
If anything, we are pragmantic.  So get out and vote for the entire Democratic slate. It is not just about this election. It is about all Virginia elections in the foreseeable future.
On Tuesday, November 3rd, every person who voted for President Obama needs to vote for:

Creigh Deeds for Governor – http://www.deedsforvirginia.com/
Jody Wagner for Lieutenant Governor – http://www.jodyforva.com
Steve Shannon for Attorney General – http://shannon2009.com/
Maj. John Bell (Ret.) for Delegate, 13th District – http://johnbell2009.com/
Re-elect Del. David Poisson, 32nd District  – http://www.delegatepoisson.com/
Re-elect Del. Chuck Caputo, 67th District – http://www.delegatecaputo.com/
Stevens Miller for Delegate, 86th District – http://www.stevensmiller.com/

All they need is your vote those of all of your friends who supported President Obama. Together we can make this happen. Yes, we can.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Tim Bucholz is an idiot and might be the worst party chairman Loudoun County has seen since Paul Protic.

  2. Dan (Not the liberal one)

If they want to talk about the evils of gerrymandering why don’t they take a look at the 8th district… hypocrites…

  3. Jim Corish

Mr. Bucholtz, if you read this, please be advised that your party has given our nation the worst and most egregious gerrymandered districts in the history of our nation.

    See: http://ncmuseumofhistory.org/workshops/geography/471_022699gerryb&w.pdf

My personal favorites are the North Carolina 12th and the Louisiana 4th.

If Dems get to redistrict then they will see to it that Randy Forbes (Va-4th, possibly the most conservative member of the House) gets switched around enough so that he loses…

Someone needs to contact Tim Buckholtz about Tom Beres. I have witnessed some of his erractic behavior and am concerned for my fellow party members. I perceive him as a threat to anyone that is working at a poll or is identified in any way with the LCRC or the Republican Party.

None of this would have been an issue if any of the redistricting commission bills had been allowed to see the light of day. Sigh. Thanks a lot procedural changes that allowed bills to be killed in subcommittee. Carefully crafted districts are a bastardization of the American political process.

Dan, the 8th and 3rd look they way they do because of Republican-led redistricting in 2001. They tried to pack as many Dems into those two districts as possible, which is why you see dark blue Reston dropped in with dark blue Arlington and Alexandria. And, why you see the James River as the “boundary” connecting Norfolk with Richmond.

I find their letter interesting in his discussion of Dems and individual freedom and who you are, black, white, hispanic evangelical,…etc Then why do they continue to promote specific proposals and legislation to help each group with their perceived problem? What they really mean is they don’t care
as long as you do and behave by their determination of what’s proper.and support their solutions. While Republicans care about ALL people, regardless of which group they belong, will have a great and unobstructed path to individual Freedom and Liberty. It is not the Government’s job to GIVE the American Dream to each but to promote and encourage each to reach and succeed. The Dems solutions are to add more taxes, not for the neediest, but for their power control of our way of life. No Thank You!!! (hope for better grammar this time)

  9. Well put, John.

“Think of extremists, Ken Cuccinelli or Bob Marshall as US Congressmen. It could happen.”

    I sure hope so.

The politics of division are alive and well with these libs aren’t they? And does every single democrat message have to refer to gays? No wonder these idiots are losing so bad.

  12. “We are a Party that believes that government should be small when it comes to regulating our freedoms… freedom to be who you are … Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, Evangelical, Atheist, Gay, Straight”

Great! Tim should endorse the Republican ticket for smaller government that actually does not step on any of those choices…provided that you do not ask for special exceptions due to your race (we believe in aptitude and ability -not skin color) or sexual orientation….and we do insist that you started your life in the USA legally.
Meet that criteria, and we’re cool.

  13. [...] does not look good for Obama, according to the polls and Virginia Democrats; in fact it looks like Obama is being roundly rejected by Independents, Republicans (of course) and [...]

This election will be the nail in the coffin for Tim Bucholz. He rode the Obama wave and thought it was something he did himself. Bye bye Timmy! Hello Republican success. Thanks for the help.

  15. Buchholz is the same guy who spent an evening circling the parking lot outside a Delgaudio fundraiser and responded to the news Loudoun was entering the 287g program by comparing sheriff’s deputies to Gestapo agents.

  16. RABBLE ROUSER

How ’bout this winner of a line: “Do I agree with everything that they have said? Of course not. But I do agree with the greater majority of their positions…”

Why does the chairman of the local party tell his followers he doesn’t agree with his own candidates’ positions? It isn’t the role of the party chair to dictate positions, but to get his candidates elected — regardless of their positions on issues, unless they are Nazis or Commies ?.

It seems Mr. Buckhead, or whatever his name is, is going to become known as the Paul Protic of the Dems!
