While it certainly wasn’t the fastest meeting we’ve had in a long time, last night’s FCRC meeting ended on a happy note. After hearing from the various candidates in the 8th and 11th District Primaries and a lengthy quorum call, the members of the Committee confirmed Chairman Anthony Bedell’s slate of officers and district chairs.

The meeting was relatively drama free, with the only dust up coming in Springfield, where a number of members voiced displeasure in our District Caucus over the handling of the appointment of the Springfield District Chair. However, after a rare secret ballot, he was confirmed, as were all of the other District Chairs and Committee officers appointed by Chairman Bedell.

The meeting, which lasted approximately three hours, was a great chance for our revitalized committee to get together, meet with fellow activists and hear from the various candidates in our fall Congressional races. With our new leadership team in place, the Committee is ready to hit the ground running as we prepare for the June 8th primaries and this fall’s general election. We’ve got great opportunities to retire Gerry Connolly and Jim Moran this fall, and with the new leadership team in place, we will be pushing forward to meet those goals.

I’ll need to channel energy towards helping Frank Wolf push high numbers this year, and I really don’t think that the LCRC is in it to win it, this year.
So, the FCRC starts looking very attractive.

Does anyone know what happened at the Fimian-Herrity debate this morning? I am hearing that Fimian hit a new low and attacked Pat’s family! Any truth to that rumor? People are quite upset about it. I am so glad that Pat has continued to campaign with dignity and not sunk to Fimian’s level.
Yeah, I heard Fimian hit on Pat’s wife, and was promptly rebuked. Fimian then got really pissed off, started drinking, thrashed another hotel room, and promptly ordered another negative mailer on Herrity.
LOL, so, politics as usual?!
Its ironic how Fimian calls “Sharon Bulova a 2nd Tier candidate.” All I have to say is: Pot meet kettle, kettle meet pot. This is the guy who lost to Connolly by 12% points!!! This is the guy who is trailing Herrity by 20% in a recent poll by the Tarrance Group.
So, for him to call anyone a 2nd tier candidate is laughable.
Is that an actual bumper sticker?

I’m pulling your leg about the Citi guy – that’s just a funny rumor. Not kidding about AAPL, when it went down through 220 on light volume my boxes picked it up and triggered the order, and it actually went down to 199.25 about 20 seconds after I filled my order. Anyhow, you’ve just seen first hand what happens when algorithms burp up black swans.
So we go right into attack mode instead of maybe embracing the changed made in the FCRC which i thought the post was about, no one mentioning the desire to recruit more Republicans for you guys to attack?
