Klancher Out, Buona In
By Loudoun Insider
Broad Run Planning Commissioner Bob Klancher was long rumored to be interested in the Broad Run supervisor seat, but he’s decided he is not going forward due to business responsibilities.
Telos executive Ralph Buona has decided to get into the mix (LTM story and LT story). Although currently in the Dulles district, who knows where he’ll end up after redistricting. Cue the consternation from those who think John Wood, Telos CEO, is out to run the county (Telos also employs Robert DuPree, and Wood is on many advisory committees). Personally I don’t feel that way and obviously we need more people with business sensibilities on the BOS. Buona is probably a shoo-in, especially with the quality of candidate the Dems are lining up these days.

I visited his website http://www.ralph2011.com and I am impressed. Sounds like he recognizes our tax burden is too high and wants to work to reduce it. I look forward to hearing more discussion of the issues from him.
Could be VERY interesting along with redistricting.
Carisbrooke is where McG owns her home she moved out of to move in with her fiancee to run in Potomac.
She is on the deed of the Countryside house (added a year after she won), and is now listed as living in Dulles Town Center, but I believe that’s a rental.
Ahhh, fluidity!
RB was very impressive with his kick-off speech at the LCRC meeting last night. He is a very strong candidate and has broad support. The R Sheriff’s race has 4 quality candidates too…Clarke also gave a good speech.
Buona is a great candidate. I was particularly impressed by his response to Stevens Miller’s bizarre attack on local CEOs a few months back.

Someone should tell Ralph to check the spelling of endorsements (main link) on his website. No big deal, just pointing out the typo.
