I Think I’m Gonna Cry!!!

By Loudoun Insider

Defintely NOT, but that’s the desired result of the game being played against me these days.  Bulletproof Monk and Lovettsville Lady don’t like me anymore.  They think I have one friend left in the world (hilarious!).  That I am a democratic operative (yes, my critical posts of Kelly Burk, Andrea McGimsey, and Stevens Miller spell that out).  That their blog posts are better than mine (judge for yourself).  All a bunch of BS.  If you want their brand of reactionary frothing and vapid shotgun posts, go to Virginia Virtucon.  I don’t mind telling you where they are these days, since they and their cohorts have decided to stop commenting here and are no longer dropping links here to their sites, as they continue to do elsewhere in a quest for traffic.  As they say, don’t let the door hit you in the ass.

That’s some of the publicly available whining about me lately.  In private conversations I’ve been told that “everyone” thinks I need to grow up, that “everyone” misses the old me, that “all of my friends” think I’ve lost it.  What a bunch of unadulterated crap.  I have plenty of friends from all walks of life – personal, professional, and yes, political, including plenty still inside the LCRC.  I’ll continue to do what I do here in my quest to clean up this rotten political scene.  Those who want to read what I have to say, do so, those that don’t, I could care less.

LI you are doing a great service for the local community. Expose the crap out there like you do best.

As far as Monk he said he would never post here ever again. Well he posted here again after he said that. hmmmmmmm

  • vacliff says:

    LI-
Just keep doing what you’re doing. Sometimes we love ya and sometimes we hate ya! All good fun in the wacky world of politics.

Amusing stuff here as this comment thread morphs:

  • Pragmatist says:

LI, I lean a bit left in my politics, but I’m also not a blind follower. I look at issues, think about both sides, and then make up my mind. I’ve enjoyed reading this blog for quite a while, mainly because there is thoughtful discussion here, not just walking the party line.

For what it’s worth, I’ll continue to read what you and your readers post. I doubt I’ll miss BPM and LL.

  • edmundburkenator says:

BPM and LL don’t like you anymore = badge of honor

I guess I’ve have to go look to see what the thread says… I feel like I’m about to enter a dark mine where stupid zombies dwell.

  • G.Stone says:

Conversations about you having no friends are a bit over blown. I know it makes good blog fodder. As we have discussed, my only issue is connections and assertions that simply don’t exist. Further, I really wish all involved would go direct to sources they know to be directly involved and put this stuff together based on facts as opposed to heresay, political aggenda and old fashioned confusion. I am in no way suggesting anyone fall in line or promote something or someone outside their belief system. I am saying positions and connections built on bad intel in no way advances the conversation.

  • Verbal Kint says:

I’ll agree with edumund that BPM and LL not liking you is a badge of honor. And I’ll say that not seeing their incoherent rants here makes this site better, actually.

  • Cato the Elder says:

Once again I feel blessed to *not* live in LC.

  • Loudoun Insider says:

Stone, I could say the same things about your position. Others could be playing you and using you as a tool. Be wary.

  • LI, while I think you are a tad intransigent, unduly pissed off, and insufficiently capable of relaxation at times – all assertions I would be happy to make to your face and also descriptions that apply to myself – you have by far the most important body of work by a blogger in Loudoun County and I do not see that changing any time soon.

Just on the basis of “who has done the most to scrutinize our non-Republican public officials in Loudoun County” you are so far ahead of all the other bloggers and news outlets combined that in my view we should all raise a toast in your honor.

While I take serious issue with some of your positions, and cannot understand a couple of the beefs you have with Loudoun elected officials, I respect the work you do. Variety is the spice of life.

  • Loudoun Insider says:

Joe, my friend, the only thing that really makes me intransigent and pissed off these days is the bullshit, conflicts, and crookedness of Loudoun County politics!

  • BlackOut says:

Damn, I wish I had a blog so that BPM and LL wouldn’t talk to me anymore!

Seems a lot of the sniping has calmed down since those two and Loudoun Lady left. Nice change.

As for LL over at VV…well if I want links to articles, I get a much better selection from Drudge.

  • G.Stone says:

Stone, I could say the same things about your position.

Actually you can’t. When we talk direct, and I tell you something is what it is based on the fact that I was in the room, had the conversation or is a first source, your specualtion becomes moot. Sorry.

Remember our conversation, ignore the tail and pay attention to the Dog.

“Others could be playing you and using you as a tool. Be wary.”

I do appreciate your concern. However, the possibility of this being the case is equal to the chances that I might quit the Rebublican Party and Join the Working Families Party or some other leftist group of nitwits.

  • Loudoun Insider says:

Yes I can say that, Stone and I did. And you are not a first person source on that matter, you weren’t there during those events in another state. You are probably being wagged yourself. Again, your clique has plenty of blog outlets, including yourself at NVTH. If it’s so important to you put it out there. Personally I think it’s overblown witch hunt BS, like the Scott York supporter purges of old.

Your absolute belief that you aren’t being used, is the first indication you are.

    But you knew that.

  • G.Stone says:

With all due respect your not even talking about the same thing here. Go back to our conversation and concentrate on the Dog. Your fixed on the tail.
I know your between a rock and a hard place but your going to to have to step up and do what is right. If not, your playing the role of enabler. Look at the parties involved and the logical motivations.

  • G.Stone says:

“Your absolute belief that you aren’t being used, is the first indication you are”

Given you haven’t a clue as to what we are talking about, the circumstances and the players involved, you might want to cease from opining.

  • Loudoun Insider says:

I am not fixed on the tail and still don’t like the evil one we discussed. You have your own logical motivations on your side to think about (who seem to be throwing you under the bus now). Enough of this cryptic back and forth.

  • Barbara Munsey says:

Speaking of dogs, something this thread and the NVTH one has me thinking of (as a purely humorous sideline) is “what kind of dog does each poster have”, if they have a dog?

I know both LI and Dean have referenced their dogs, Joe has posted photos of his dealing with Snowmageddon, Loudoun Lady has a border collie, I believe?

I start the ball rolling: I have an unneutered (sorry, my husband and son WAAAAY overpersonalized this issue) male bicolor roan cocker spaniel, who while purebred will never show because a) he is too tall by one inch and b) his markings are pure polka-dot/scrambled egg and c) there is no way in east hell I’m going to blow dry him and trot around a ring in a suit and low heels, while praying he doesn’t try to have sex with one of the other contestants, bite a judge, or relieve himself in the middle of the ring. He is a monster, and my Forrest Gump. He firmly believes he can catch helicopters, and stays in fighting trim by trying his best to do so, and has worn a patrol path around the inside of the fence on which I am fairly sure no grass will ever again grow.

LI, what kind of dogs do you have? I’m betting either some breed used for police/security work, or some form of terrier.

What kind does Dean have? Stone? Eb? BlackOut?

  • Loudoun Insider says:

    Two feisty Jack Russell Terriers!

  • Loudoun Insider says:

They function as alarm bells – security is provided by Benelli M3 and various handguns!

  • Steely-eyed Black Chihuahua: Certified, licensed, inspected annually, would just as soon rip you to shreds as look at you, and sounds the “grab a shotgun” alert at the slightest provocation. She can hear a mouse sneeze under the house across the street.

  • edmundburkenator says:

G, just some opining… I really don’t care to know the specifics of whatever you and LI are talking about.

    Barbara, I have a four-year-old, 78-pound black, shaggy, standard poodle/mutt mix. And he’s a gooooood boooooyyyyy.

  • G.Stone says:

Shepador. 1/2 Shepard, 1/2 Lab. Her name is Reagan.

  • Lady M says:

This may be the best diversion that Barbara has ever come up with!

Irish Setter here. He runs the house.

  • BlackOut says:

Toy poodle here, named Toodles. Obviously Joe and I have no manly issues.

  • Eric the 1/2 Troll says:

Not that I was asked but … two pointer/border coolie/?? mutts. Mother and daughter. We adopted both after the mom got dropped off in labor with 11 puppies (we took the runt). Great couple of dogs. I highly recommend adopting shelter dogs. They bark at everything that moves outside but are absolutley no protection as they just want to play with the invader. Good at taking out groundhogs though!!

  • Barbara Munsey says:

LI, that makes perfect sense! I was thinking it had to be something that gets its teeth in, and doesn’t give up easily.

Joe, excellent! And that was an adorable little coat, if I recall correctly: http://novatownhall.com/2010/02/06/scenes-from-the-feb-2010-snow-storm/

Eb, that is a surely appropriate mix of elegance and ________________.

    G, that fits well too!

Colleague, why am I thinking of the aged lost boy from Hook? Also excellent.

Eric, a good friend of mine always has adoptees, and has had some wonderful pet family members as a result. Yours seem to fit too, as far as making noise, but just wanting to play ;D

    Well done all.

Now, do we ascribe our pet qualities to assigning any tone to posts, or just keep the image in the way back of our minds?

(And what kind of dog does Dean have?)

  • Ravi Oli says:

Mr. Joe Budzinski, Ravi would very much like to meet your Chihuahua, and is curious if her name is “Ameal?”

  • Eric the 1/2 Troll says:

    Ummm…Barb…

“…praying he doesn’t try to have sex with one of the other contestants, bite a judge, or relieve himself in the middle of the ring…”

Speaking of keeping an image in the back of our minds…

  • Barbara Munsey says:

Eric, I’m sure some people think I’m gross, violent and inappropriate whether they know what kind of dog loves me or not, wouldn’t you say?

  • Barbara Munsey says:

(she said with a big sloppy smile)

  • Ravi, the chihuahua’s name is Demitria which means “gnawing entrails with my mind.”

  • Loudoun Insider says:

Nothing like a good Ravi-Joe B. exchange to lighten the day!

  • Leej says:

Dalyn says the only dog in our home is Lee ;-) And she named him the Idiot. ;-)

Nothing to do with you LLoyd. :-)

  • Eric the 1/2 troll says:

Love the way Dean and LL are now answering Barb’s dog question from this thread on Novatownhall because they have supposedly sworn off LI…now THAT’S entertainment!!

  • Barbara Munsey says:

Lee, don’t feel bad. My dog and I are soulmates–as I said, he is my Forrest Gump sometimes.

Eric, it IS funny. I particularly liked the heavily punctuated speech about middle school drama queens, in which the telling line may be that the author “knows how hard it is” to be stuck there. I’m sure.

And I never would have pegged that individual for labs! I would have thought either shih tzu or bichon frise, or some wildly large, lean and obscure hound that requires intense grooming. Ah well.

Dean and German Shepherds for life? Absolutely.

  • Loudoun Insider says:

Whatever that frothing a-hole has, it must be rabid.

  • BlackOut says:

    Really Troll? Which thread. LMAO

Maybe Joe and LI should form their own blog. That would really twist the heads of a few.

  • Loudoun Insider says:

The crazy thread I linked to above. I just threw another broadside at who I am now calling the BullshitPeddlingMoron. I love Joe B, but I think we like our separate but equal status. The other imbeciles on the other hand, don’t hold a candle to either of us.

  • I still love you, LI.

  • lexis says:

I Love these posts. I love the comments and the insight. The fighting I can do with out….
