Is this what Harris Media does now?

  • Too Conservative says:

    It’s one thing we do.

  • BlackOut says:

If this is what Harris Media is producing they should be socially and professional embarrassed and shunned. Blackface went out decades ago and gratefully is seen for what it is a racist act.

    Shocking actually. Shameful.

  • Documented American says:

BlackOut is living proof of my axiom that liberals don’t have any common sense, or the ability to understand satire. I guess that would explain why they think that Fox News makes stuff up, while The Daily Show is hard news.

Next up, I’m sure BlackOut is going to file a complaint with the Italian-American Civil Rights League over the stereotypical depicition of Mario and Luigi in the original Mario Bros game.

What a miserable mess of a person you must be BlackOut.

  • Cato the Elder says:

Says the guy with a racist pseudonym.

  • RWN says:

So should Obama ave been re-outfitted with a white face? I’m sure we would hear the screams of racism there too; Darned if you do, darned if you don’t. Let me guess, you watched the View yesterday and are regurgitating the race card talking point.

  • BlackOut says:

RWN, no in put from anyone that is my raw opinion. I suggest you do a little research on blackface and what it means. There is a void that is clouding your judgment here.

Cato, are you saying the Black Brigade is racist?

  • RWN says:

BO – Stating the obvious, Obama is a black man. There is nothing I see that makes a mockery of his race or being black. What is being mocked, among others, is Obama’s deep reliance on appropriating taxpayer dollars for causes unworthy of the federal budget, i.e. planned parenthood, NPR, etc. Not too mention the rapid acceleration of the Federal debt under Obama’s watch.

  • Hillsboro says:

Lets assume they trusted you with the big box of 128 crayons, and you were given the a coloring book of the 2008 Campaign.

If you were asked to color in Sarah Palin’s face, what crayon would you use? Could you even color anything with the page coated with froth and spittle?

Then, if you turn to the page of your hero, Obama, what color crayon would you use? Could you even color anything with the page coated with some other bodily fluid?

  • Pu-leeeasse, BlackOut.
You can’t be serious. This isn’t black face.

  • “Racist” is what a liberal screams when he’s defeated and has nothing else.

  • edmundburkenator says:

BO, this isn’t racist. It’s just lame.

  • RichmondDem says:

Says the guy with a racist pseudonym.

Watching a conservative try to use the race card is like watching my three year old niece try to use my iPhone like an adult does. You guys suck at this.

Speaking of bigotry, how do the Republicans here feel about Birtherism being the central tenet of the modern GOP? Conspiracy theories used to be the domain of fringe third parties like the Anti-Masonics and Know-Nothings, but a major party having credible Presidential nominees endorse one? That has got to be a first.

  • Loudoun Insider says:

For those who apparently don’t know, BlackOut refers to Dick Black, he of the plastic fetuses. BlackOut isn’t racist, although maybe you could make a case that Dick Black’s use of the term “Zimbabwenomics” is.

I don’t necessarily think this vid is racist, but it’s a bit too close for comfort and easily painted that way.

  • RichmondDem says:

Oh, and this isn’t enough of a caricature to be blackface, and there are no racist tropes in it. Though it takes a lot of balls for the party of George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan to complain about Presidents taking vacations. They’re #1 and #2 respectively in time off.

  • Cato the Elder says:

Poking fun at absurdity by being absurd seems to be a lost concept.

Glad RD showed up, that dude is like the Obi-Wan of playing the race card. Take notes, ya’ll.

  • Linda B says:

Blackface? Shocking? Shameful? Because the Mariobama figure is black? He’s supposed to represent OBAMA. Who is BLACK. What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? Honestly, libs have to be the most race-freaking-conscious people on earth. (I know, BO, save your fingers the trouble, you’re not a lib….)

  • Barbara Munsey says:

“Watching a conservative try to use the race card is like watching my three year old niece try to use my iPhone like an adult does. You guys suck at this.”

God, I love it when people are inadvertently honest.

Yes, no one plays the race card like a progressive! Thank you, RD!

  • G.Stone says:

“What a miserable mess of a person you must be BlackOut.”

Documented American, your are my hero. For today that is.

Blackouts remarks are so out to lunch, it has to be a gag. As is his habit he will soon whip out the it was a joke post. When re realizes what an ass he has made of himself , the recovery process will begin. It is a pattern we see often.

  • Loudoun Lady says:

BO has returned to his roots! Welcome back race baiter!

  • Loudoun Lady says:

    Cato, where have you been?

  • Cato the Elder says:

Just been very busy and in the process of relocating.

  • RichmondDem says:

    I’m not a progressive, I’m a liberal.

Sometimes, it is appropriate to “play the race card”. Like when someone really is being–wait for it–racist! This may be shocking to the average Republican, but when, say, a leader of the teabaggers sends out a chain email depicting the front lawn of the White House growing watermelons, then the race card needs to be played. And do you ever wonder why it is that your party is almost entirely white now? Asians, Arabs, and East Indians used to vote Republican back in the Reagan era, but they’re gone now, too.

OTOH saying the screen name “BlackOut” is racist is just dumb.

  • Linda B says:

RD, Nice try at backtracking. But calling something “racist” that is — wait for it — racist, is not playing the race card. Calling a humorous video that depicts the president in a negative light (and the president who happens to be black is depicted as black) racist is playing the race card. And yes, liberals are very good at it.

  • RWN says:

Liberals are also good at changing the subject of the debate when they can’t win based on the merits of their arguement.

  • BlackOut says:

Well I am glad all you white folk agree. I wonder what Monk’s “happy” slave ancestors would say about this?

  • RWN says:

Wrong again BO; I’m not white.

By the way, The National Review has Mariobama up on their site:

  • edmundburkenator says:

Now we are in to where the lines are drawn with what constitutes racism. We can go back and forth on that without any agreement comment after comment.

Suffice it to say, each/every side plays their cards. Some members play there cards early, some late, some never, depending on where their lines are drawn.

Blanket statements on what all liberals/conservatives think is just another card (just not so high in suit).

  • BlackOut says:

Then you’re not part of the club RWN.

  • Loudoun Lady says:

Whoopie played the race card this week. Coincidence? I think not. Time to gin up the base, and nothing gets them going like ass-kicking racist taunts!

    Pretty sad actually.

  • RWN says:

Yes indeed LL – After all what’s easier, yelling racist or finding the intellectual capital to defend raising the national debt by $3.6 Trillion on Obama’s watch.

  • Barbara Munsey says:

Thanks for the clarification RD– i just found your statement humorous.

Tell me, when Alan West criticizes the President, he’s being racist, right?

  • Barbara Munsey says:

(and the answer is “no, he’s being an “Uncle Tom”, which is NOT a racist slur!”)

  • Rtwng Extrmst says:

Regardless of the real reason for the name “BlackOut” you have to admit it’s ironic and funny for him to be complaining about blackface when he has such a name.

  • Pragmatist says:

Interesting article in the WAPO this morning about where the deficit came from and how little of it is Obama’s doing. I’m sure most will respond the WAPO can’t be believed, but I think the article still makes good reading. You can’t get into this much debt in only a couple of years…we’ve worked at it for more than a decade!

Takeaways are we either have to seriously cut spending or return tax levels to where they were before we started implementing major tax cuts. Probably a little of both would be a good start.

  • Eric the 1/2 Troll says:

    OT @ Donny…

Hey Donny how do you reconcile these two statements in your recent news release:

“American Tradition Partnership will hold accountable any supervisor who votes for this plan, as well as any candidate who supports it,” said Ferguson.

“ATP does not advocate the election or defeat of candidates.”

I guess it makes sense in your “black is actually white” world of delusions, eh?

  • retired says:
